Fortune Garden

Address: 1475 west Broadway Avenue (very close to junction w Granville St)
Type of Food: Authentic Chinese Food!
Description: They offer a quite impressive range of Food. The dishes are meant to be shared for a group of people or couples (the design of the tables itself suggest this idea). Ideal for Brunch with friends.
What I Had: I went with some friends (we were 8 in the table), so we had, among others (out of about 15 different dishes): Pork Buns (those guys look like not-yet-baked pillsbury bread with pork Inside), Won-ton Soup (which resembles Tortellini Soup), sticky rice with meat (portions are wraped in a tamal-like shell) and gai-lan (a green vegetable very close in flavour to asparagus).
What I Thought About the Food: Delicious! High quality Chinese food!
What I Thought about the place: Chinese style place. Spacious with tables designed for groups or couples; kind of dark place, though.
What I learned: The phrase I'm Hungry, said in Japanese, sounds like the spanish phrase "A la casita". Does this suggest that Japanese people prefer to have their meals in home?
Price: 90 CAD (8) It's certainly not cheap, but is pretty reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food you'll have.
Will I go back: Certainly.
